Your local Bismarck/Mandan home brew club, The Muddy River Mashers, is proud to host our 18th annual Oktoberfest event. This event has served as our nonprofit organization’s annual meeting and more importantly the opportunity for some friendly beer competition while offering ticket holders samples of the best and most unique craft beer available in the area.
Included in your ticket will be one session of samples of over 20 unique beers to evaluate, enjoy and vote for your favorite. We will once again offer the opportunity to purchase food from a local food vendor, Das Mountain. Please dress for the North Dakota October weather as this is an outdoor event and will rope off the lawn outside the shelter just as last year so bring some chairs, blankets, etc.
We plan again to provide “single use” plastic cups to serve the beer samples. Also provided is our reusable plastic trays to hold your samples. Please do not throw these in the trash! Bring it to the ticket station as you leave and receive a souvenir glassware.
A few things to remember:
You must be 21 to attend. All ticket holders will be asked for ID when entering the event.
No glassware. Drinkware will be provided for all beer samples.
A food vendor will be available for purchase.
Please dress for the outdoor weather. Bring a chair or blanket for the grass.
Don't throw away the blue cup holders! They are reusable, bring it to the ticket booth when you leave and receive a souvenir.
We are going to also have a new way to vote for the best beers this year. We will be using a StrawPoll that will allow people to pick their 3 favorite beers on your phone and voting will be open from the beginning to the event until 6 PM. This will remove the time needed to count up the votes. There will be a QR code for people to scan and open the poll, you will then need a unique code that will be in the pamphlet at the event.
